Austin Community Services
Austin is in the R.M. of North Norfolk. Austin is classified as a Local Urban District (LUD). The administration of the town is looked after by a sub-committee of the RM council. The public works operator looks after the day to day maintenance of the community.
We are part of Central Plains Inc., a regional development corporation.
There is a very active volunteer fire department that responds not only to fires but to traffic and health emergencies.
The local school is from K to 8 with high school in MacGregor, 7 miles away.
The churches and service organizations are an integral part of our community.
